Mets Win Their First Spring Training Game!

Today the Mets won their first spring training game today and their record is now 1 and 3 and if you want to count Michigan 1, 3 and 1. Although the Mets today won on a walkoff hit by pitch hitting Brady Clark, three players are injured. Carlos Delgado already headed up to New York for an X-Ray and he has an impingement in his right hip and will be out for a little bit. Also, Ryan Church and Marlon Anderson got into a collision, and both got CAT scans. Marlon Anderson has a bruised sternum and Ryan Church has a Grade 2 concussion and probably will be out the longest, which may be two weeks. Marlon Anderson had walked off the field by himself, but Ryan Church was helped off the field. I hope all of them will be alright! I am guessing that for now, Michael Abreu will be the first basemen, with Carlos Delgado, Marlon Anderson, and Damion Easley all out right now. I’ll try to post again tomorrow when the Mets and Dodgers face off in Vero Beach for the last time, which won’t be on TV, but will be on WFAN. Until then, so long!

As you already know, there was a five-hour congressional hearing today on the George Mitchell Report, with Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee. No matter which side you have in this, I think you should check this article out on ESPN about a body language analyst: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3244344

Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee

Sorry about not posting yesterday. This investigation with Roger Clemens is getting weirder and weirder every day. The Daily News Reported on Wednesday that Brain McNamee gave used syringes, bloody guaze pads, and vials, which may contain Roger Clemens’ DNA. Yesterday they showed pictures of the evidence, while Rusty Hardin, Roger Clemens’ lawyer commented on it. Both parties have been at Capitol Hill the last two days to talk to Congress and will be back there next week. By the way, it was reported today that Brian McNamee said under oath that he injected Roger Clemens wife with HGH five years ago, but he did that with Roger Clemens permission. This just makes Roger Clemens look more guilty if his wife did it, because than if he did it, his wife wouldn’t mind.

Press Conference Today
As you probably already know, the Mets had a press conference to introduce Johan Santana today. Many people were there including myself. This was probably the biggest trade for the Mets since Mike Piazza. Check out mets.com for some photos and more information.
